Alex and Allyson Grey
In over 30 years as collaborators, Alex and Allyson Grey have developed a global following for their unique visions of the universe. This husband and wife team have forged a dynamic partnership translating spiritual and mystical experiences into complimentary tangible manifestations, while maintaining distinct visual identities.
The Greys’ recent work has explored the subject of consciousness from the perspective of Universal Beings, represented with an unmistakable fusion of ancient esoteric symbolism and personal inspiration. The international psychedelic and consciousness communities have embraced the Greys as vital, although perhaps unintentional, mapmakers and spokespersons for the visionary realm. Boogie Down Productions proudly welcomes Alex and Allyson Grey to Cosmic Consciousness.

EPROM
EPROM is known for his diverse, funky and energetic sets, which cross the lines between live remixing and manipulation of hiphop and breaks with his own obscenely bass-heavy neurocrunk transmissions. EPROM has played alongside artists like Vibesquad, Ooah, Boreta, Bassnectar, Kraddy, edIT, and many others. EPROM is fusing his own brand of telekinetic crunksauce in the form of the new hybrid genre, Psyphy. His latest release is on Addictech Recordings, with more coming soon.

Heyoka
Heyoka AKA Andrei Olenev is another cosmic auditory scientist found in the Bay Area noosphere, who recently delighted us with his auditory manipulations. Muti Music first released Heyoka’s “Space Case EP” in 2008 and included him on their growing roster of talented artists.
Heyoka is fast becoming one of San Francisco’s hottest new producer / performers on the scene. His early influences in Downtempo, Dub and IDM combined with more recent midtempo dancefloor genres from the likes of Bassnectar, Glitch Mob and An-ten-nae have helped create a very unique sound that combines relentless basslines, hip hop and dub rhythms with a lot of musicality and melody. Heyokas’ earlier works were identifiable by their crushing basslines and ‘spacey’ blips and glitches, ‘Pineal Dub’ shows progression from Heyoka as a producer with greater use of negative space and ethereal melodies that can only be heard as melancholy or wickedly cheerful. The response to his emergence so far has been overwhelming with Heyoka opening nights for Tipper, Benga & Skream amongst others.

MiMoSA
MiMoSA takes listeners on a journey through warm rhythmic sound-scapes, with melodies and vocal samples smoothly crafted to help navigate the sonic terrain. Using basslines inspired by hip-hop clasees classics like Too Short and Dr. Dre combined with deep psychedelic textures reminiscent of the downtempo and midtempo output by Tipper and Bluetech, MiMoSA blends the range of syles to create his own fresh take on the west coast sound.
An*ten*nae
An*ten*nae is one of San Franciscos most sought after DJs and live performers. After years of production ranging from Breakbeat, Trance and Techno, he has multiple releases on Functional Breaks. 2003 also saw the release of Adam’s ‘Wall’ track on Marine Parades’ Big Booty sub-label. His “Make Love Fuck War(Don’t use Chevron)” white-label has become somewhat of a classic and his unique Live mix mashup compilations, “Punk Rock Country Hop” and “An-ten-Nae Radio 91.1FM” have been highly sought after for their blend of crunk / Hyphe / booty electro pure dance-floor madness appeal. Adam also produces with DJ Laura as “Orgasmitron” and with Dov as “D’n A” and has been tweaking his customised live sets to limits seldom seen.
An*ten*nae / Adam Ohana has been DJ’ing and producing electronic music for over 10 years and has been an instrumental part of the underground music culture in SF. He is a founder of a variety of music companies… Eyephunk, Hunab Ku, Frequency-8 [F-8] and Ceiba Records and was an integral part of Blueroom America and pioneering San Francisco largest and most eclectic music night Get Freaky, while also managing San Francisco super-club Ten15 Folsom.

Big Gigantic
The finely tuned instrument that is Big Gigantic proves that (band) size doesn’t matter – they create a lavish soundscape as a duo one would expect from a large band. Dom writes songs thick as concrete; never simple jams or diminutive ideas looped and stretched to fit a certain time length. His arrangements are full, thought out and well planned, yet still allow him plenty of room to improvise on his already stellar ideas live. Dazzling first timers seems to be a skill Big Gigantic has mastered early on in their career, as I continually had people approach me, awestruck, asking who these guys were, what their story was, and where they could find their music.
emancipator
Emancipator’s intricate, artful beats have earned him the kind of organic success 99% of artists only dream about.
On Friday, December 15, 2006, Doug Appling dropped the first Emancipator album, “Soon It Will Be Cold Enough” – a collection of layered, headnodic songs produced in clean detail between the ages of 15 to 18. Emancipator and friends burned the CDs on their laptops and mailed them from the local post office. Emancipator’s only marketing effort was to post the following note on MySpace:
“this album is essentially the best of my work from the past three years. 14 tracks, 65 minutes of dangerously epic forest beats.
listen to it in its entirety on my page. if you like what you hear, order a copy and i will ship a high-quality, glossy, delicious hard copy to you in a fancy envelope for $10 (s/h included).
if you are a record label, then please sign me.
-emancipator”

Kilowatts
Jamie Watts is the mind behind KiloWatts and his many different projects and styles. His work embraces the bulk of electronic genres, including breaks, IDM, techno, and downtempo. His fluency in piano is evident throughout his work, as is his penchant for jazzy riffs, intelligent structure, wistful melodies, and an often cheeky take on the current state and history of electronic music as a whole. His album “Ground State” is out on Native State Records, home to fellow pioneers Bluetech and Shen. It’s a collection of sweaty psychedelic downtempo grooves, churning molasses-thick basslines, and undulating synthetic sonorous mandalas. KiloWatts has albums on Artificial Music Machine that are full of visionary dimensions, fusing together a dexterous knowledge of sound synthesis, deep emotional articulation, and solid melodic intuition. Peppered throughout these monumental statements are releases with class labels such as Harmonious Discord, Thoughtless Music, and his own outlet, KiloWatts Music, that celebrate his adept technical expertise, often bringing a whirlwind of mindblowing digital wizardry in the form of glitches and edits.

Shen
Taken from the arcane Taoist term for ‘refined energy’ or ‘depth’, Shen is noah pred’s outlet for low-tempo explorations of forward-thinking computer music. Drawing inspiration from the Eastern aesthetics of botanical architecture and geomantic techniques, Shen attempts to evoke organic structures through lush ecologies of synthetic chords, deep textures and minimalist machinations. Honing his craft through sets performed alongside the likes of Monolake, Deadbeat, Shulman, Lusine, Bluetech and Solar Fields, his unique interpretation of the downtempo genre rapidly evolved into a distinctly recognizable sound. Incorporating elements of electro, dub and minimal techno, Shen’s fluid funk is aimed equally at the public thrill of the dancefloor and the internal transcendence of headphones. With tracks appearing on the acclaimed ‘Leftcoast Liquid Vol. 1′, ‘Floating Point 3′ and various Green Samurai Clan compilations, the debut Shen full-length, ‘Outlines’, is out now on Native State Records.
Goodie
Goodie, a member of MFA (Motion for Alliance, www.mfacentralc.com), performs an incredibly funky Ableton Live PA set, which features his interpretive mash-ups and remixes as wells as original productions by Goodie and the MFA crew. Always concerned with the evolution of music, Goodie provides a futuristic touch to classic and new favorites, mixing and mashing them in a new and interesting way that you’ve never heard before.
A typical track of Goodie’s might consist of an OutKast acapella vocal sample over a Tipper breakbeat track, with dance-inspiring loops layered in. Goodie searches for synchronicity in the music of the past, future, and present, bringing similar musical progressions together across the gaps of time. He is a DJ that pays respect to the works of all artists, emphasizing the connection between all human beings out there, and constantly searching for new members of MFA’s ever-growing alliance. Goodie is also a resident DJ at Boulder’s hottest night club, Tahona (Friday and Saturday nights if he isn’t playing with MFA), with more residencies being announced throughout 2008.
S.P.E.C.T.R.E.
His style blends filthy low-end whomp subs and drums with cut up boughetto a capellas. Respectably snatching samples by ’90s faves like Ginuwine, Busta Rhymes, Salt n Pepa, he carefully merges them with well produced backing tracks from the likes of Tipper and Mimosa. While many dance floors are left bare at a 9 p.m. concert launch, this was not the case for Reuben as he gave the gratified early bloomers something to dance about.”
